Crisis Rocks Dutse Model Science School, Jigawa, As  A Class Teacher  Wounded Daughter of A former Commissioner of Water Resources, Alhaji Jinjiri

A punishment given by a mathematics teacher of Dutse Model Science School, Malam Bashir Umar Gumel to a female student of the school which wounded the female student, this medium gathered the action may have a bad effect on the school, especially with the perception parents now has on the school.

The action of the class teacher has seen parents and guardians begin to withdraw their children and wards from the school, more so there is pressure on the school as majority of academic staff and non-academic staff are now seeking transfer from the school to Dutse capital school.

Information available to this medium indicate that, that Malam Bashir Umar Gumel the mathematics teacher was found guilty of injuring Alhaji Jinjiri’s Daughter, according to information available to this medium, the mathematics teacher it was gathered seriously beat up the daughter of Alhaji Jinjiri Dutse which wounded her hand as her hand was seriously swollen.

As gathered by this medium, Alhaji Jinjiri is among the prominent politicians in jigawa state,  he was a one-time commissioner of Water Resources and as well as former Chairman Of Dutse Capital Development Authority, and he was a former head of service during the then Ex-Gov. Saminu Turaki administration.

The punishment given to the daughter of the politician, universalreporters247.com gathered has made some parents who do get bad reports from their children on the kind of punishment they get from their  teachers has begun to withdraw their children from the school to other Government day secondary schools, while others took their own children to private schools.

Also it was also gathered that the relationship between the principal and other staff of the schools including some teachers is very poor as this medium learnt no fewer than 5 teachers were deployed to Dutse Capital from the science school due to poor cordiality.

When contacted the principal of the school Hajiya Jamila Ismaila over the issue he refused to comment on the matter, she will not comment on any issue related to that because the matter is already before the ministry of education and a committee of inquiry has been set up by the ministry.

She added that anybody who need any information should contact the chairman of the Parent Teachers Association of the school who is also a Director at the Ministry of Education or rather should contact the Commissioner Of Education as she hinted that they are the only people responsible to respond on the matter because anything that has to do with the media is above her power she stated.
