Adamawa State stakeholders meeting ended in a fiasco as thugs royal to Governor Mohammed Jibrilla Bindow disrupted the speech of the former Secretary to the Federal Government SGF Mr. Babachir David Lawal.

Trouble started when BD Lawal demanded that some incongruities in APC regarding the position of the State Chairman be addressed before the party congress but thugs royal to Governor Bindow began shouting and the national Anthem was hastily played while he was still standing with the microphone in his hands.

The former SGF later stormed out of the meeting with other elders of the party like Senator Mohammed MohAllayidi, Engr Markus Gundiri, Dr. Modibbo and other to address a press conference.

During the press conference at his house on No. 26 Lafiya street, Jimeta BD Lawal lambasted the Governor for holding a sham stakeholders meeting which was nothing but address by the Governor to tell lies about his programs in Adamawa State.

He said there are so many issues that need to be addressed by the Governor to ensure that the APC congress takes place in an atmosphere of peace irrespective rancor.

The former SGF said he was disappointed that the Governor would call for a meeting and will allow thugs play a role in shouting at him despite his position in the party as a senior stakeholder of APC Adamawa State.

While speaking at the stakeholders meeting Governor Mohammed Jibrilla said he had no interest in anybody becoming the state Chairman of the APC and as Governor he was prepared to work with anybody who emerged the state APC Adamawa Chairman.

Governor Jibrilla also called on the people of Adamawa state to feel free to elect capable people of their choice in the congresses.
