Crisis Hits Plateau PDP As Damishi Sango Faces Removal As Chairman, To Be Replaced By Hon. Chris Hassan

The People Democratic Party (PDP) ,Plateau State Chapter has been rocked with crisis ,as some persons belonging to Sen.Ali Modu Sheriff camp has begun moves to shop for the replacement of ,Hon Damishi Sango.

As learnt by universalreporters247.com another group who are members of the state Executive currently serving has rejected the leadership of Sango owing to his move and planned gubernatorial ambition as PDP’s Guber candidate ahead of the 2019 gubernatorial election.

Our source who is member of the new executive expressed disappointment with Hon Damishi Sango’ comments that there is nothing like zoning in PDP.

“You would recalled that ,the former Governor ,Senator Jonah David Jang insisted on imposing his Du agenda which truncated the 2015 ambition of Late GNS Pwajok  following no zoning arrangement which led to the party lose the state to APC ,”  the source said.

However, information available to our reporter also revealed that Sango is set to destroy the zoning arrangement, a situation that has seen many PDP supporters in the state to mass defect to the APC due to what they termed as lack of internal democracy.

Universalreporters247.com gathered that the Plateau State PDP has now been hit by mass exodus of its members to form coalition.

It was gathered that after the declaration Sango as the state PDP chairman, Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff camp wrote a letter of protest to party national Secretariat demanding desolation of the leadership of the state exco.

The aggrieved members are now yearning to take advantage of the crisis to replace Sango with the former Commissioner for works; Hon Chris Hassan whom they all believe will tackle the leadership problem in PDP.

In a secret meeting held behind close door many politicians in PDP and their supporters felt that Sango is a traitor just like Jang whom they believe caused so much damage to the party in the State.

As it is the leadership problem in PDP has continued to degenerate into full confusion, in which it is not nipped in the bud, it may pave way for smooth a ride for APC in 2019 as Governor Lalong will soon have no single rival to challenge him.
