COVID-19:Nasarawa Records 4 Deaths, 91 Cases

The Nasarawa State Commissioner of health, Pharmacy Ahmed Yahaya has confirmed four death of COVID-19 in Nasarawa State.

 

He disclosed this during the 9th Joint Security and Expanded meeting held at the Government House.

 

The Commissioner maintained that the cases in Nasarawa toll 91.

 

He further explained that 39 persons were tested negative from the above figure.

 

Pharmacy Yahaya averred that 700 people were tested for COVID-19 Pandemic.

 

He however explained that arrangements are on the pipeline to establish a testing centre in the State as well the opening of testing laboratory.

 

He affirmed that two blocks at the National Youth Service Corps camp at Keffi were renovated and ready for use as an isolation centre.

 

The security and expanded meeting also announced the lift of ban on motorcycle operators in the State.

 

Pharmacy Ahmed Yahaya says the use of face mask and social distancing must be adhered to as a protocol.

 

The Police Commissioner, Bola Longe warned people in the State to adhered to constitutes authority to avoid community spread of COVID-19 Pandemic.

 

He said the authority has ban inter-State movement, Bola Longe said a total of 1,924 persons were arrested while 1,879 were charged to court.

 

He further said 1,451 motorcycles,86 vehicles and 202 tricycles were impounded.
