The Chairman Task Force on COVID-19, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe has confirmed that over 180 samples has been collected, adding that the State recorded a total of 11 positive cases so far.
The Deputy Governor said stringent measures have been taken through the establishment of 13 Holding Centres, one each in the Local Government headquarters.
He instructed Local Government Chairmen to convert schools in their locality
He further maintained that the State Government has also established 3 contacts tracing units.
According to him, “Dr. Liman would take charge of Nasarawa South,Dr Auta would head Nasarawa North and Dr. Musa is to head Nasarawa West respectively.
The Chairman of TF on COVID-19 confirmed the protest embarked by people kept under observation at the holding centre at Isa Mustapha Agwai I, Lafia.
He in addition averred that some persons that escaped from the holding centre were nabbed and returned to the centre.
Dr. Akabe appreciated security agencies in the State, urging them to redouble their effort .
