COVID-19: Excitements As Gov.Uzodinma’s SSA Students Affairs, Comr.Oparaji Releases Palliatives Donated By Dcn.Okafor

The light of fighting against the Coronavirus dreaded disease in Imo State,the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Hope Uzodinma on Students Affairs, Hon.Comr.Franklyn Oparaji,through the office of the Governor released some palliative materials to Imo State Students Communities which was donated to the State Govt.by Hon.Dcn.Chike John Okafor, onbehalf of the State Governor.

 

The distribution of the food items which took place last Friday, 22nd May 2020, at the Imo Youths Complex Owerri, located near Concorde Hotels Owerri.

 

Some of the students-leaders who gathered under the platform of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS,Imo State Chapter where ably led by the National President, Comr.Godson  C.Okereke, aka Aluta Bishop,who is also the NANS Covid19 Committee Chairman, in collaboration with the leadership of the National Association of Imo State Students, NAISS,led by the National President, Comr.Tochi C.Anyaoha, and other Students Union leadership who benefited from the palliative.

 

Others school leaders present under the Students Union Governments,SUG,from across the State, includes:”the SUG President of IMSU, Comr.Collins Arinze Oguike, the SUG President of Imo Poly Umuagwo, Comr.Kingsley U.Ohachelam, the SUG President of Imo State College of Edication Ihitte-Uboma, Comr.Chisimdiri David Joseph and the SUG President of Imo College of Health Amaigbo, Comr.Ezinwanne Enyinnaya.

 

Others SUG Presidents in attendance are:Comr.Glorial Ugonna Alozie, of the Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri, AIFCE, with the SUG President of the Federal Poly Nekede Owerri, Comr.Ebenezar Chukwuemeka Ezeh, including the SUG President of the Federal College of Lands and Mineral Resources Technology,FECOLART,Comr.Daniel Uche Njoku, and the SUG President of the Federal University of Technology, FUTO, Owerri, Comr.Timothy Eberechukwu”, as they collectively thanked Governor Uzodinma for using his SSA on Students Affairs to remember them as Imo Students who were trapped down in their various Tertiary Institutions in the state due to the governments order of lockdown which was triggered by the global dreaded Coronavirus pandemic disease.

 

Responding, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs, Hon.Comr.Franklyn Oparaji, expressed satisfaction with the heights of turn out of Imo Students who trooped out to receive the govt. palliative but encouraged them to have patient, remain focused and always support the shared prosperity administration of the Imo State Governor,Sen.Hope Uzodinma, who he described as a loving Governor with human feelings and passionate to solve the problems of all the students in Imo State.

 

The SSA Oparaji, while speaking,  lauded the Governor for his doggedness and proactiveness in the combat against spread of the virus disease but advised the students to always stay save, avoid gathering of crowds and also remember to maintain social distancing, even as he prayed that Covid19 will disappear in no distant time by the grace of God.

 

He therefore extolled the kind gesture of the member representing Okigwe South Federal Constituency,  Hon.Deacon Chike John Okafor, for his donation of some palliative materials to the state govt.

 

Some of the food items donated to the students by the SSA includes bags of rice and cartoons of indomie noodles as they expressed excitement and jubilation galore on receiving the items.
