The embattled Nasarawa State Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Aliyu Bello, has said that the court has no right to remove him as the State Chairman of the party; instead is only the State Governor or the party Central Working Committee that has the prerogative to fire him as the State party Chairman.
He gave the hint while speaking during the official commissioning of the official quarter of the executive Chairman of Doma Local Government, Honorable. Jonathan Okuba Addra at the weekend.
“Is the State Governor and the CWC of the party at the State level that can remove me as Nasarawa State APC Chairman? In short, if the Governor said is tired of working with me, I will pack my belongings and leave”.
Aliyu Bello advised some of the aspirants to embark on a consultation instead of fomenting trouble in the party, saying an unwarranted crisis would drag the party backward.
The Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, while speaking on the political rumpus that enveloped the seat of the APC Chairman in the State, said Aliyu Bello has come to stay.
“Aliyu Bello is like an Iroko tree, he is a Chairman without equal, adding that the ruling All Progressives Congress must be united”.
Dr.Akabe stated that stakeholders of the party would not tolerate anything that would destabilize the peaceful co-existence experience in the State. Stating further that Aliyu Bello remains the party Chairman.
