The Councillorship aspirant under the platform of People Democratic Party, PDP, Hon Dattijo Haruna has promised to consolidate on the gain of democracy if given the opportunity to serve the people of Jenta Adamu ward of Jos North LGA.

Hon Haruna expressed confidence that the forthcoming election in Plateau state will offer him credible opportunity to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots.

He said I have a covenant with the people of my ward to continue with the good work building confidence and trust amongst diverse ethnic tribes of my ward.

Haruna pointed out the people of Jenta Adamu ward have suffered untold hardship under the present democracy where past and present leaders had neglected the ward in the area of human capital development.

The aspirant cautioned the electorates against politics of blackmail and cheap propaganda which has continued to draw them back in the state.

Hon Haruna emphasized the need to elect a political party that will focus on building the lives of common man rather than embarking on looting and embezzlement of public funds.

According to him, Jenta people are not enjoying the dividends of democracy because those elected have refused to see democracy at a grassroots level as the closet to the people.

He described the current fragile peace enjoy in the area as the only way people can benefit from democracy through peaceful coexistence and loyalty to the government.
