The Correspondent’s Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Nasarawa State Chapter has endorsed the incumbent Chairman of the Union, Comrade Mohammed Alkali during its Congress held Thursday (today)
The unanimous decision was supported by all members of the Correspondent’s Chapel, The endorsement was due to the immense innovation of the leadership of the Salihu Alkali-led Executive.
The Congress, however, recognized the remarkable contributions of the led executive for uniting.
With an atmosphere charged with enthusiasm and solidarity, members of the Correspondent’s Chapel gathered at the chapel office to evaluate the performance of the current EXCO and determine the course for the future.
The Chapel, which command a strong attendance, saw journalists from various media organizations coming together to voice their opinions and collectively make decisions that would shape the direction of the Union.
The Congress acknowledged the dedication, vision, and commitment demonstrated by the current administration, which has resulted in tangible progress and advancements for the Correspondent’s Chapel.
Members of the Chapel also acknowledged the doggedness and contributions of the State Secretary, Sunday John for his diligent efforts to promote the interests of Journalists and uphold the values of the NUJ while calling on him to remain steadfast as is seeking his re-election in the upcoming executive committee elections.
The Chairman of the Correspondent’s Chapel,Isaac Ngbede Ukpoju expressed gratitude for the unflinching support exhibited by members of the Chapel to the present NUJ leadership in the State.
He commended the present crop of the State executive for their dedication and commitment to rebuilding and restore the image of the noble Profession
He averred that the endorsement is a clear trajectory of the progress made under the present reign under Comrade Mohammed Alkali.
He also emphasized on the importance of unity and collaboration, pledging to work relentlessly to meet the expectations of the Chapel’s members.
