Correspondents Chapel Commends Al-Makura For Appointing Vibrant Information Commissioner

The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Nasarawa state chapter has commended the chief executive, Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura for appointing a vibrant commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, Hon.Abdulhamid Kwarra.

The national vice President zone D, Chief Wilson Bako gave the commendation when the Correspondents ‘ Chapel paid the state leadership of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress a courtesy visit at the state Secretariat along Shendam road.

“The governor deserved encomium with the appointment of sound and vibrant commissioner of Information, Hon. Abdulhamid Kwarra”.

“As of this moment even with the sacking of former commissioner of Information I don’t know his name and in essence he has never issue a press statement when he held sway as the state Information manager”.

In same vain, the chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Suleiman Abubakar hailed the state governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura for transforming the state as he listed the key areas to include the massive construction of township roads, revamping education and other sectors.

Abubakar assured the ruling party of the unflinching support of the press at all times, he also sued for peace among the political parties in the state, stating that meaningful development would only flourished in a rancor free environment.

The ruling APC lauded Journalists in the state for abiding by the code and ethics of practice, the state chairman of the party, Philip Tatari Shekwor has said saying the press has portray the state in an excellent reportage.
