The Plateau State Coordinator, CEO /International President Samson Adeneran has trained and mentored at least 200 women on agricultural farming and provided a market for all members.

 

“We have achieved that batch B, 300 croppers… Registration is ongoing for the next batch. Croppers. Our vision is to become an African leading empowerment organization by producing at least 1million successful entrepreneurs.

 

Mrs William said within our first 5 years of operation, we are in the third year of operation just for your further knowledge. with the support of Packard brought new techniques of farming to the women farmers.

 

According to her,   the people living in the rural area live on farming and livestock however big dealers occupy a large area of land at the expense of small farmers who turn to Plateau State Polytechnic Barkin Ladi, Jos Campus to be trained.

 

However, Life plus foundation international, slogan now we can especially women’s organizations face violence  As they rely on the husband for livelihood (firewood, mushrooms, vegetables, honey), they have to travel a long distance to fetch water.

 

Mrs Mandir William Dakom explained that the farm techniques include training 200 women who have benefited from training; the number concerns 100 women farmers who receive potatoes and beans, seeds and agriculture implements, and 100 women who get goats and sheep.

 

However, she said to promote women’s rights through empowerment and fight against economic and social inequality, when they  set up farming and livestock activities for Plateau state beneficiaries including organizing a training of 200 women leaders to ensure that activities will be carried out in accordance with farming and livestock good practice.

 

Mrs. William says the inclusion of rural women, women with disabilities, pregnant women and the entire village participation in the project was highly appreciated.

 

 

 

They organized the distribution of seeds, farm implements, and livestock  to help vulnerable women build resilience in food security to the effects of climate change; increase access to and control over land; increase crop productivity; Improve food storage and reduce post-harvest losses by promoting environmental protection through sound management of natural resources;
