Confusion In Nasarawa PDP As Eggon Nation Vows To Vote For Labour Party Presidential Candidate

Barely less than twenty hours after the 2023 Presidential and Senatorial election, Eggon nation, the second largest ethnic group in Nasarawa State has directed their members to vote based on the religious divide.

It was revealed some Eggon clerics have taken the campaign to churches soliciting votes in favour of Peter Obi under the banner of the Labour Party.

An impeccable source revealed to one of the contestants that the campaign for Peter Obi is like a campfire which would consume the opposition political party from actualizing their dream of returning to the seat of power.

This development creates a serious gap among critical stakeholders, and a competent source apportioned blame to the leadership of the party and a few other heavyweights.

The decision by the few members of the power that be continued to plunder over the March 11 Governorship election which will be between David Emmanuel Ombugadu of the PDP and Engineer Abdullahi Sule of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Other people to watch in the March Governorship election are Abdullahi Maidoya of the New Nigeria People’s Party, the candidate of the Labour Party, Alhaji Mustapha Inyass of the Social Democratic Party and Umar Aliyu Akwe of the Zenith Labour Party..

Only time shall tell with the decision which will be used against extraction to stop them from actualizing their Governorship ambition.

Openion shapers are of the view that these might be the last chance for Eggon people to taste their political popularity in a democratic process while considering their numbers.

A bigwig of the party, an Eggon stakeholder said the danger of the decision is that the position will give room to Abdullahi Sule’s second coming which power will move to Nasarawa West by 2027 and will spend eight years where power will move to the Southern zone by 2038 and back to Nasarawa North 2046.

By 2046, the majority of the stakeholders will not be seen or heard as some of them age will not be by their side.

At press time, it was alleged that the caucus of the party is holding a series of meetings to placate the brain behind the ugly situation that already causes a crack in the party.

The State Chairman of the PDP, Hon Francis Orogu as at press time would not be reached for comment. over the allegations levelled against him.
