Critical Eggon PDP Stakeholders Converge In Historic Maiden Meeting to Chart Path For 2027 Vision

In a landmark gathering aimed at reinvigorating the People’s Democratic Party and advancing the aspirations of the Nasarawa South Senatorial Zone.

 

Critical stakeholders of the Eggon PDP bloc convened for their inaugural meeting at the residence of Hon. Barr. Esson Mairiga. Chaired by PDP Zonal Chairman, Hon. Alhaji Wakwa.

 

Those at the event described it as a strategic turning point for attendees, underscored the party’s commitment to unity, grassroots mobilization, and the realization of its ambitious Vision 2027.

 

Hosted by Hon. Barr. Esson Mairiga, the member representing Lafia North constituency, the meeting brought together key PDP figures and elderly statesmen from the Eggon community with the Five Local Government Areas that made up the southern senatorial zone of Nasarawa State.

 

Discussions centered on fostering cohesion within the party, addressing challenges in the senatorial zone, and laying the groundwork for a robust roadmap toward the 2027 General elections.

 

In his remarks, Hon. Mairiga emphasized the urgency of collaboration: This gathering is not just a meeting; it is a clarion call for all PDP stakeholders in Nasarawa South to unite behind a common purpose.

 

Our strength lies in our collective resolve to deliver good Governance and reclaim our mandate in 2027.

 

Attendees stressed the need to revitalize the PDP’s presence at the grassroots level. Proposals included intensified voter education and expanded membership drives.

 

The maiden meeting concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and a pledge to transform resolutions into actionable plans. Attendees lauded Hon. Mairiga’s leadership in fostering unity and providing a platform for open, solution-driven dialogue.
