As the All Progressive Congress ( APC) local government appeal committees have held its third day in Jigawa state, it received no single petition from the party members.
Speaking while fielding questions from newsmen in Dutse, the chairman of the appeal committee sent to the state from the National party headquarter Alhaji Abdullahi Abubakar said, they informed their arrival to the state through media and direct communication to the party leaders.
He said, the committees were in the state to listing and receive any complaint from the party members with regards to the Just concluded local government congresses in the state.
The chairman explained that the committee was established according to with the party constitution for promoting unity progress, justice, and fairness in the party.
According to him, based on what they have seen and what they heard the APC in Jigawa state is united and the members have mutual respect for their leaders.
“As we entered the third day in Jigawa State there was no single individual or group of people approached us/with a written or verbal complaint with regards to the last local government congresses”
“This symbolized that the party leaders in the state Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar are carrying everybody along and above all is allowing internal democracy to take its cause in the party”
Alhaji Abubakar then commended all the APC members in the state for the way and manner they conducted themselves together which led to the success of the congress in the state.
Also speaking at the party headquarters the state deputy governor Malam Umar Namadi said, during the 2019 general election no single petition was received by an election tribunal in the state because the people of Jigawa state believe in a true democracy.
” I am optimistic that, the local government congresses appeals committee will close its sitting in the state without receiving any petition as every good party member in the state was satisfied with the conduct of the congress ” The deputy governor stated.
