A management staff of the College of Education, Akwanga, Nasarawa State has made a passionate appeal to the visitor to the College, Engineer Abdullahi Sule to as a matter of urgency come to the aid of the institution financially.
Our feelers who spoke in confidence to Universal Reporters recently said the College is going down the drain financially due to human error which he said is avoidable.
He said the institution has been augmenting salary to the tune of N15,000,000m monthly since the employment of new staff.
When asked about the actual number of staff approved by the visitor, Pundit declined further comment rather averred that the preponderance of the College emanated from human error which is compelling the College to abandon other obligations rather than concentrate on payment of salary only.
It was gathered that the College owed N10,000,000m for the printing of questioners, it was revealed the College since the new employment jettisoned some critical obligations.
Feelers also confirmed that the College owes over N4,000,000 m as a light bill, The scenario is a serious setback to the running of daily activities that are suffering due to human error, It was confirmed by a top echelon staff who pleaded anonymity.
Feelers also appeal to the visitor to the College to look into issues that may lead to industrial disharmony by the staff of the institution which has to do with pending promotions of 2019,2020,2021,2022, which cumulatively runs into million.
The Chairman of the Governing Council, Shaya Awotu could not be reached for comment despite calls and Text messages at press time.
Recalled that the Chairman of the Governing Council confirmed that the College is buoyant and can cater to all its needs without the financial support of the State Governor, He stated this during a convocation ceremony held early this year in the College.
All efforts to speak to the Chairman of the Governing Council Ishaya Awotu proved abortive as his phone was not reachable as of press time.
A says the institution is operating on zero accounts currently, confirming that the College of Education Akwanga is insolvent.
