College of Education Akwanga has sacked a lecturer for collecting money from a student to clear his 16 Carry overs; this was revealed to journalists by the Provost of the College Dr. Rebecca Isaac Umar.

The termination of appointment of Paul Madalla, a lecturer with the College of Education, Akwanga Nasarawa State is a signal to lecturers and non-academic staff of the institution that is not going to be business usual, said the Provost of College, Dr. Rebecca Isaac Umar.

The headship of the school made the assertion in an interview with selected Journalists at her office, she read riot act to all staff to change a new leaf or face sack, this was coming at the time students of the College attacked the Deputy Provost while evicting Students that did clear their school fees including other processes like collection of examination card.

The Provost maintained that Madalla has no case, adding that the embattled lecturer case was squash in four courts of law.

While fielding questions on what the school authority would do on an Islamic lecturer diverting students school fees for personal use, Dr Umar said the school would set up a committee, saying further that a query letter was issued to one of the lecturer (name withheld).

Reliable Information from the College of Education, Akwanga, Nasarawa state has uncovered that another staff of the institution is under probe over extortion and defrauding of the students.

Only time shall tell what and when the outcome of the committees would has direct impact on the lives of the College.
