COCIN President ,Rev.Mohzo Calls  President Tinubu To Address Current Hardship, Political Disillusioned

The President, Church of Chris in Nations, COCIN, Rev.Dr.Amos Musa Mohzo has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to put mechanisms on the ground towards addressing the plight of the dwindling economic rise in the standard of living in Nigeria.

He expressed dissatisfaction, economic hardship, judicial injustice, and security challenges posing significant threats to the well-being of the country and its people, as the President drums support for the leadership of Governor Caleb Mutfwang.

Mohzo disclosed this at the church of Christ in Nations 104 general church council held at the headquarters, Jos No 1 Fidelis Tapgun road.

He said,” it is imperative that all stakeholders, both individuals and institutions, come together to address these challenges collectively.

The call for divine intervention is a reminder of the situation’s urgency, adding Nigeria’s future relies on the commitment of its citizens to uphold Justice, Mercy, and righteousness to work collaboratively to build a better Nation ,” he said.

Mohzo lambasted that the economic challenges faced by the commoners in Nigeria are deeply concerning, the inflation, unemployment, and poverty rates have risen, making it difficult for individuals and families to meet their basic needs.

He stressed that the commencement of the 2023/2024 academic session. This momentous occasion culminates two decades of dedication and hard work by the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), whose strong commitment has brought this prestigious university to fruition.

According to him,”as we gather to celebrate this significant milestone, I would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to all PCC Chairmen, RCC Chairmen, Headquarters Church members, Gindiri Chaplaincy stakeholders, Directors, all provosts and principals of institutions and Heads of Units to join us on this joyous day.

Your presence at the Maiden Matriculation Ceremony is not only evidence of the church’s enduring vision, but also a demonstration of your continued support for the growth and development of karl Kumm University, he explained.

It is also in line with this; the Executive Council has approved 2% as a steady deduction for the support of the University beginning in 2024.

The event promises to be a moment of reflection, gratitude, and inspiration as we witness the realization of a long-awaited dream, he said.

Mohzo stated that COCIN Contributory Pension Scheme The Steering Committee on Investment Department has presented a complete report to the Executive Council (EC) regarding the COCIN Contributory Pension Scheme. During the year, the EC dedicated considerable time to review and analyze this submission rigorously.

He explained that after careful deliberation, the EC has decided to allow the Steering Committee to further refine the scheme’s operational framework once the Investment Department is fully operational by 2024.

Musa Mohzo pointed out that consequently, the Executive Council anticipates receiving a progress report from the Investment Department as discussions continue on the most effective approach to managing the COCIN Contributory Pension Scheme.

Mohzo reiterated that the Centralized Revenue Collection Scheme The Steering Committee on Investment Department has presented a comprehensive report to the Executive Council, which underwent a meticulous review and consideration.
