The All Progressives Grand Alliance in Nasarawa State says the party lost confidence on the composition of the members of the electoral umpire, the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission with the appointment of a card-carrying member of the party, Honorable Henry Omaku as the Chairman.
The party chairman, Musa Saidu during a press briefing berates the State government for the faulty preparation ahead of the forthcoming Local Government election slated for 26th May 2018.
He also expressed concerned over what he referred to a faulty process called amendment of Local Government law by the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission.
He says the State government abused the provision of the supreme document, the 1999 constitution as amended by appointing people he referred to as stooges to the ruling party in the State.
“APGA as a party don’t know which law the House of Assembly is going to use”.
Other Political parties that said they will not participate in the forthcoming Council election also include the People’s Democratic Party, Labour Party and amongst others.
