A coalition of stakeholders in Pankshin, Kanke Kanam stakeholders have endorsed the National Auditor of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees ( NULGE), Comrade Ayuba Shamdung Jepla to contest for the 2023 Federal House of Representative seat.
In a stakeholders meeting held in Pankshin LGA across all political divides in Kanke Local Government area, have joined Pankshin and Kanam Local Government areas in calling on Jepla Ayuba to vie for rep as a committed and loyal grassroots mobilizers.
This call was made known at Kwal in Kanke to climax Comr. Shamdung’s consultation with stakeholders from PKK, to declare his political intention to contest for the house of representatives.
The coalition which comprised of dedicated men and women across all political parties, civil servants, and farmers were carefully selected from all electoral zones in Kanke Local Government area, opined that the decision to support Comrade Shamdung is due to his wealth of experience in governance.
They noted that Comrade Shamdung is a man that has been tested, trusted, and proven with integrity and excellent performance, which they promised to join other groups within the zone to call on him who has the administrative acumen to drive Pankshin, Kanke, and Kanam to greater heights if given the mandate contest for the office.
Similarly, a group from Kanam Local Government area, who came in their numbers in solidarity with the national Auditor promised that Comrade Ayuba Shamdung Jepla is a competent politician who can transform Pankshin, Kanke, Kanam in terms of empowerment and employment generation.
Adding that Shamdung is a bridge-builder, a consensus builder, and committed to the principles of the PKK, stressing that he has been tested, trusted, proven, qualified, and most suitable for the zone in the 2023 general elections.
According to them, rotation and zoning have been the practice since 1999, therefore, in 2023 house of reps should move to Pankshin and in pursuance of the principle of equity, justice, and fairness, PKK should adhere to the policy of rotation and zoning of public elective offices.
He stressed that in line with this express provision of the zoning since Kanam is holding the position now, in 2023 it has to move to Pankshin and it is in this context that we in Kanam are moving for the support of Comrade Ayuba Shamdung Jepla to contest for the seat.
A coalition of women at the meeting extolled Comrade Shamdung’s sterling qualities, describing him as a man who will rescue PKK at this stage while promising to join other forces with relevant stakeholders particularly women from PKK to ensure he emerges victorious during the 2023 general elections.
Convener of the meeting, Comrade Ayuba Shamdung Jepla who is also the national Auditor of NULGE thanked the stakeholders for coming together to throw weights behind his political ambition.
Shamdung pointed out that as a unionist; he has held so many positions both at the Local Government, state, and national levels. He promised that he will do his best if given the opportunity to represent them at the House of Representatives not to disappoint them.
