Civil Servants In Nasarawa Shun 25 Years Anniversary Over Non-Payment Of September Salary
Civil servants in Nasarawa state have shunned the 25 year anniversary over the nonpayment of September salary.
One of the affected staff, Umaru Al-Makura during an interview said 25 years, which marks a long journey is not worthy of celebration.
An insider from the government house said a huge amount of money was released for the exalted day while workers are leaving in despair, agony squalor, deprivation due to delay in payment.
He explained that the state government spends over 10 million to barely nine ex-players of super eagle ranging from Peter Rufa’i, Tijjani Babangida, Joshua Obaje, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, Austin Egwavon.

It was authoritatively gathered that the monies released were diverted by those in charge who apart from the 10 percent they requested from all the beneficiaries of the adverts.
There was a low turnout of people of the state to mark the 25 year anniversary of the creation of Nasarawa state by late General Mohammed Sani Abacha.
