Chief Vunobolki Hails Fintiri’s 3rd Consecutive NEAPS Honour, Declares Adamawa Gov “A Model Of Excellence”

Chief Maurice Vunobolki, the Dyapa Bwatiye and Ebubedike Ndigbo 1, has extended hearty congratulations to the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, on being named Governor of the Year on Urban Infrastructure at the 2025 Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS).

The prestigious ceremony, held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, saw President Bola Ahmed Tinubu personally commend Governor Fintiri for what he described as “a new era of progressive and inclusive leadership.”

This latest accolade marks Governor Fintiri’s third consecutive recognition at the NEAPS, organised by The Best Strategic PR in partnership with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

The award celebrates exceptional performance in urban renewal, infrastructure development, digital innovation, public-sector reforms, security coordination, transparency, and accountability.

Speaking on the sidelines of the glittering event, Chief Maurice Vunobolki, PhD, who led a large delegation of Adamawa stakeholders to the ceremony, told journalists:

“This honour comes as no surprise to anyone who has seen the transformation sweeping across Adamawa State. Governor Fintiri continues to demonstrate a visionary, people-centred approach to governance that inspires pride in every son and daughter of our state.

“From modern roads and flyovers to revitalised urban centres, enhanced security architecture, and groundbreaking digital and financial reforms, His Excellency has positioned Adamawa as a shining model of what purposeful leadership can achieve.

“On behalf of our organisation and the good people of Adamawa, we say congratulations to our performing Governor. We stand firmly behind him, and we are confident that more wins, greater heights, and sustained excellence lie ahead under his stewardship.”

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while presenting the award,represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation  (SGF) Senator George Akume praised Governor Fintiri and other recipients for their “tangible contributions to national development,” singling out Adamawa’s urban infrastructure revolution as evidence of what focused governance can deliver.

The NEAPS Governor of the Year trophy adds to Governor Fintiri’s growing collection of national and international honours, further cementing his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most outstanding performers in public service.

As Adamawa stakeholders return home jubilant, Chief Vunobolki’s message was clear: “The best is yet to come for Adamawa State under the Fresh Air administration.”
