His Royal Highness, The Andoma of Doma, Alhaji. Ahmadu Aliyu Ogah has described the Chief of Army Staff, Gen.Yusuf Tukur Burutai as a symbol of respect to the Nigerian Army.
The Paramount hinted this during the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the headquarter of 123 4 Special Forces Army Barrack Doma.
Aliyu Ogah said Gen Tukur Burutai is the only Chief of Army Staff that has abandoned the comfort of his office to go to the war front to fight insurgency in the North-East.
He averred that COAS has redeemed the image of the Nigeria Army by making a difference in saving the territorial boundary of the country from external aggression.
The monarch maintained that the nation’s capital, Abuja and Lagos which are formally a playing field for insurgents and other criminal elements are now at peace.
He thanked Burutai for the choice of Doma Local Government to cite the 4 Special Forces Army Barrack
The Andoma of Doma conferred on the COAS with a title of Majen Doma as well with a gift of ten hectares of farmland in the community.
He prayed for the Chief of Army Staff to attend the peak of his service peacefully before his retirement in years to come.
Aliyu Ogah called on Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule to capture the building of structure from the coffers of the State Government in the 2021 budget.
He also called on the Governors of Plateau, Benue, Kogi and the other North-Central States to contributes immensely towards the development of 123 SFAB Doma.
“Is never too much for any Governor to come and build in 123 SFAB Doma”
The Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Burutai thanked Nasarawa State Governor, Engr Abdullahi Alhaji. Sule for providing land and other support to the Army.
Gen.Lamidi Adeosun, In-charge of Policy and Planning called on the general public to offer intelligence information to the Army.
The representative of COAS said the Special Forces came into been to replace the ordinary Soldier in the field.
The commandant 123 Special Forces Army Barrack Doma, Major General Maude Gazama Ali says the 4 Special Forces Army Barrack was first of its kind in Africa.
He explained that the Special Forces are desirous to checkmate kidnapping, insurgency as well to fight both internal and external aggression.
“123 4 SFAB, Doma comprises of Four combat brigade and four logistic commands with an ideal environment for a quick response.
He appreciated the Governor of Nasarawa State for taking the projects of Doma Barrack as his project.
Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule promised the people of the State an everlasting peace in the State.
He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the establishment of two super Camps in Endehu in Nasarawa Eggon and Kenyehu in Toto Local Government respectively.
Engr. Sule said his office would provide a level ground for the smooth operation of security agencies in the State.
“The State Government use to pay N10m as security vote to soldiers alone monthly, saying the State Governor reiterated that the State would do the needful by supporting the Army at all times”.
“Nasarawa State Government recently purchased three Hilux vans,100 motorcycles, standby generators, cellphones, and 100 mattresses to boost the morale of soldiers in the State.
