No fewer than eight Christian Pilgrims from Nasarawa State were quarantined by the Government of Jordan, a reliable source has confirmed to Journalists.

 

The Chairman of the Nasarawa State Christian Pilgrim Welfare Board, David Ayewa was quarantined following a discovery of a sign of ailment related to coronavirus.

 

Also the Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai 1 Polytechnic, Justina Anjide Kotso was amongst that quarantine by Jordan Government.

 

Feelers disclosed that the Rector was battling with health challenges for some months before her journey for the holy pilgrimage.

 

A top Government functionary who does not want his name on print has revealed this to newsmen, He however maintained that another 6 Christian pilgrims were also quarantined in Jordan.

 

The Director of Public Health in the State, Dr. Ibrahim Adamu could not be reached for comment as at press time

 

Adamu did not respond to a text message sent to him to verify whether the affected persons have been vaccinated with coronavirus vaccine, the approved AstraZeneca vaccine.

The Public Relations Officer of the Board, Mercy Tanze in a telephone interview said the Chairman and the Rector IMAPOLY are at the Holy Land, but no reason was given for their being in the Holy Land.
