Buhari/Osinbajo Support Group donates 500 tubers of yam to IDPs in Plateau

The President-elect General Muhammadu Buhari/ Osinbajo Campaign support Fund support group in plateau state has donated 500 tubers of Yams to National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to be giving to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state.

The 500 tubers of Yams which cost of N5, 000.00 was yesterday presented by the Patron/Founder of Buhari and Osinbajo Presidential Campaign Support Fund (BOPCSF) Prof. Emmanuel Garba in Jos the Plateau state capital.

Professor Garba said, the idea of collaborating with farmers in reaching out support to the President-elect during campaigns is born out of the desired to give farmers in the country the need-full attention.

“Today, we are dedicating this willingly contributed Yam from our Farmers to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state through NEMA to support the pains our brothers and sisters are facing in their various camps in the state. And indeed compliment other spiritual individuals and government effort in the country,” he said

Garba who express confidence in the President -elect, Gen. Muhammedu Buhari for taking agricultural sector to be prioritise  as he await swearing-in on May 29 201. Said it is a new done to a nation like Nigeria who depend solidly on oil.

He called on other organisations and the Anti-Poverty Crusaders not to relent in the fight against poverty in the country.

Professor Garba pledged his commitment to the unity of the country and the growth of Plateau state especially the government of Barr. Simon Lalong. Adding that, “farmers on the plateau should expect much from the APC administration”.

NEMA North-Central Public Relationship Officer(PRO) Yohana Audu representing the North-central  Coordinator, Mr Abdusalam Muhammed. Promise to distribute the Yam to various camps in the state.

In his word, “even if it means each camp in the state will receive a tuber. We will do exactly that”
