He said the ongoing strike action embarked upon by Plateau workers is an unpatriotic, mischief and baseless.
The Governor stated this at the commissioning ceremony of projects in Mangu Local Government Area, stressing that he is surprised that organized Labour Union has decided to greet the incoming government with strike.
He said the issue of non payment of salaries is not applicable to Plateau alone but other Labour unions in their respective states did not down tools.
Jang noted that it has now been a tradition in Plateau state civil where servants always welcome new government with unnecessary strike,”so I believe this should be the end.
“I am proud of the local government chairmen who worked under my administration, to ensure that they created diverse projects that have impacted positively in the lives of people at the grassroots”, he explained.
Jang appreciated the people of Plateau for the support accorded him in the past 8 years urging the people to do same to the incoming administration of Governor-elect, Bar. Simon Bako Lalong.
He expressed confidence from the performance of the PDP government where developments spread across the 17 local governments.
He reiterated that after his handing over, the incoming government will still have many projects to commission because he cannot complete some of the ongoing projects littered in the state.
Projects commissioned in Mangu include the secretariat edifice, a 5km road and modern Shopping Complex, 25km Yakubu Gowon dam with spur to Bauchi state awarded to PW at rate of 831 million naira.
Earlier in a welcome address the chairman of the Mangu local government Bar. Kalep Mutfwam commended the outgoing governor for securing the local government’s funds to enable them embarked on developments projects.
