The Presiding Judge adjourned the matter following an objection by the Counsel to the state government, Shehu Usman, the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General appealing for adjournment.

The Counsels to the state government seek for adjournment to enable the settlement committee get approval from Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.

The case was adjourned by the presiding Judge who appealed to both the parties for report of settlement and hearing.

The Attorney-General who was represented by Audu Aloko, averred that the adjournment would enable the committee meet with the state governor and get his approval on the terms already agreed.

“The settlement committee have meet and agreed on some terms to put to rest the lingering case, but the committee are yet to meet the governor and get his approval.

So I therefore appealed for a short adjournment to enable us get the approval and report to the court.
