Breaking: Rector Nasarawa State Polytechnic, (IMAPOLY) On The Run As Students Embark On Bloody Rampage Over Closure of Registration Portal

It was a carnival of assault, arson, and looting as aggrieved students of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, formerly Nasarawa State Polytechnic embarked on a rampage.

A student of the Institution unfolded that the Rector of the Polytechnic, Justina Anjiode Kotso directed for the closure of the school portal as the majority of students is yet to complete their registration.

The Rector as at press time did not respond to calls or text messages sent to her by our correspondent.

But eyewitness revealed that the Rector was seen talking to her heels into the nearby bush leading to Kurukyo community seeking refuge.

The rampaging students are demanding the opening of the school portal to enable them to complete their registration exercise.

A staff of the Polytechnic who pleaded anonymity in an interview faulted the Rector for taking a unilateral decision without considering the implication of the hasty decision.

 

The destruction includes the school main gate, part of ICT Centre, glass of the Administrative block and amongst other valuables, It took the intervention of Army and armed Police officers to quell the situation.
