Breaking: Nigerian Air Force Helicopter Crashes

A Nigerian Air Force Helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Air Force which was on training this afternoon crashed at a location in South of Bama, Borno State. Nigeria’s Defence authorities have said.

According to a statement from the Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade, said the Mi-35 helicopter was on a training mission, when it crashed at South of Bama, in Borno State, “due to technical fault.”

However Olukolade didn’t say if there any dead or survivors, but he added that it has been established that the crash was not attributable to enemy action. 

The statement by defence spokesman, Major General Chris Olukolade  also said investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances that led to the accident.
