After leaving Nigerians guessing for over 48 hours since his inauguration as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has finally appointed his media aides and State Chief of Protocol.
In a Sunday evening statement by the Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) Garba Shehu, the former Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of The Sun newspaper, Femi Adeshina was appointed Special Adviser Media and Publicity, while Garba Shehu was appointed the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity.
Mr Adesina is the current President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE).
Garba Shehu on the other hand served as the Director, Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Council. He was the President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors sixteen years ago.
Similarly, Abdullahi Kazaure was appointed as the new State Chief of Protocol.
Abdullahi Kazaure is a career Foreign Service official and currently serves in Aso Rock Villa as a Special Assistant (Presidential Matters).
All the appointments are with immediate effect.
