Breaking: Mangu ,/Bokkos Federal Constituency : Tribunal Upholds The Victory Of Solomon Maren ,Dismisses Danjuna Haruna Petition

The National Assembly Election Tribunal sitting in Jos, Plateau State, west of mines has dismissed petition brought by Hon Danjuma Haruna of the All Progressive Congress, APC, challenging Hon Solomon Maren of the People Democratic Party, PDP, for lack of concrete proof of evidence.

The Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice N.T Ezeogwu in his judgment said the petitioners couldn’t prove the issues of over voting, multiple votes, irregularities, lack smart card readers in the election.

The Judge explained further that after their careful studies of the petitioner’s case, it shows that the petition lack merit because he couldn’t present ballot boxes of papers to prove that the fraud was committed in the election of 23rd February, 2019.

The Tribunal said the petitioners presented 31 witnesses to whose witness statements were based on hearsay not concrete evidence from the agents.

However, the allegations of thumb printing of ballots and over voting multiple voting were considered as just allegation of second of 3rd person.
