There was jubilation in Enugu State on Wednesday after Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Ejike Mbaka, resurfaced after his whereabouts had caused confusion in the state.
When Mbaka returned in a vehicle a few minutes past 2 pm, his supporters were seen shouting ‘Father Mbaka, Oh! you are home!.”
In a live video update on Wednesday afternoon by BBC Pidgin, Mbaka was seen in an open roof car waving to protesters who surrounded him alongside operatives of the Nigeria Police Force.
The Eagle Online had reported that there was a protest in Enugu over the whereabouts of Mbaka.
Meanwhile, the Department of State Services (DSS) has denied it arrested the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries Enugu, Father Ejike Mbaka.
But DSS spokesman, Dr Peter Afunanya, told The Nation the cleric was not in its custody.
He said, “This is not true. Fr Mbaka was not picked up by the DSS. Rev Fr Mbaka is not with the DSS. The DSS did not pick him up, please.”
