Breaking: Ebola Virus : Dr. Adadevoh First Doctor Who Attended To Patrick Sawyer Is Dead

The Minister of Health Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu has announced the death of Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh the first doctor who attended to Late PatricK Sawyer who brought the Ebola Virus to Nigeria.

With the death of Dr. Adadevoh it makes five persons who have died of the dreaded Ebola Virus which are one medical doctor, two nurses and the ECOWAS staff; the late Adadevoh, an experienced consultant physician and endocrinologist as well as a lead Consultant with First Consultants Medical Centre, Obalende, Lagos.

In a statement signed by the Minister of Health’s Special Assistant on Media and Communication, Dan Nwomeh said the death of “one of the primary contacts of the index Ebola Virus Disease case, the most senior doctor who participated in the management of the patient, a female consultant physician,” occurred this evening.

The statement added: “With this unfortunate development, the total number of Ebola Virus-related deaths in Nigeria now stands at five. The other two patients currently under treatment in the isolation wards are stable and are being taken care of.”
