Borno PDP Accuses Borno Govt Of Sponsoring Terrorists Attack In The State
The Borno State People’s Democratic Party, PDP has accused the All Progressive Party APC’s lead government in the state for sponsoring terrorists attacks on its innocent citizens in other to pursue its selfish ambitions and frustrate democracy in the state.
This was stated by the campaign team of the party’s gubernatorial candidate Alh Mohammad Alkali Imam while briefing journalists in a press conference in Gombe yesterday that the APC lead government in the state has been sponsoring its agents to plant explosives in strategic places whenever the team was embarking on its campaign rally. This they alleged was an attempt to frustrate their political campaigns and their effort for a change of government in the state.
Chairman,Media Committee Imam Campaign Committee, Inuwa Bwala who spoke on behalf of the team, expressed that the recent bomb blast in Biu Local Government took place the same day and barely an hour before the campaign team reached the same town.
Adding that series of bomb attacks were carried out every time they were on campaign rallies around the state. This according to them was more than a mere coincidence, insisting that the government knew more than what it is saying about terrorist attacks in the state.
“It is very unfortunate that a government can use some of its agents to always visit death and destruction on its innocent citizens like often planting bombs, this is the third in a series and it keeps happening any time we are out for campaigns. Now every right thinking person can logically conclude that the government knows more than what it is saying about these explosions and so we are pointing accusing fingers at the government.” He added.
Meanwhile, the Borno PDP governorship candidate has earlier on commiserated with the people of Biu and the entire citizens of Borno State, particularly the Emir and families of the victims of the bomb blast over the incidents.
He also called on the security operatives to take up the challenge in Gombe in order bring down the culprits and ensure safety of lives and properties of the citizens.
The recent bomb blast in Biu has according to reports, claimed many innocent souls and injured several others.
