In 2017, Engr. Daniel Kadzai, the President of COCGOG, shortly after Dr.Mamza was elected as CAN Chairman of Adamawa State, said thus; “the coming on board of Dr. Mamza as CAN chairman will restore the lost glory of the association in the state.

He lamented that the immediate past leadership of CAN in the state did not only turn the association into a private estate but that it has become an extension of any ruling party in office.

Kadzai who expressed satisfaction with the election Dr. Mamza as chairman pointed out that CAN has lost direction in the state and that it was moving towards becoming a political party in Adamawa.”

Today not only has Engr. Daniel Kadzai’s words come to fulfillment, it has in fact Dr. Mamza has surpassed many expectations.

No wonder, the Coalition of Christians group for good governance “Nigeria and Diaspora” (COCGOG) in a press statement signed by the President, Engr Daniel Kadzai, Immediate Past National President of the Youth Wing of CAN (YOWICAN) described Most Rev. Dr Stephen Dami Mamza, the CAN Chairman Adamawa as a worthy example of a Father of Faith and a Transparent leadership.

A minister may fill his pews with people, but the proof of his ministry is the testament heard through the testimony of the public and seen through the peace of his parish.

A minister whose knees are bent in secret before God Almighty are easily distinguishable in the public through humility in service and trail brazing achievements, that is the reflection of Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Dami Mamza, the CAN Chairman, Adamawa State.

CAN Chairman who by Faith and practical leadership of exemplary commitment embarked on the CAN Secretariat building projects within a year, the building committee demonstrated overwhelming sacrifice and unusual commitment as seen in the CAN chairman.

Bishop Mamza was elected on 3rd of November 2017, he pulled 49 votes against  Moses’s 34 votes. In his acceptance speech, He said that he was called by Christians and some members of CAN to serve and put the Association on sound footing and groundbreaking exploit in the State. Today, Bishop Dami has fulfilled his promise of restoring the glory of CAN in Adamawa State.

To put the records straight, when Bishop Dami administration took over on 3rd November 2017, CAN was in a rented office for almost a decade without any Bank account designated for the association. Thus no single Kobo was handed over to the current CAN leadership in the state.

Beloved in Christ, God ultimately raises up leaders for one primary reason: His glory. He shows His power in our weakness. He demonstrates His wisdom in our folly. We are all like a turtle on a fence post. If you walk by a fence post and see a turtle on top of it, then you know someone came by and put it there. In the same way, God gives leadership according to His good pleasure. Therefore, I urge every Christian in Adamawa State to pray for the CAN Chairman, his exco, the Chairman of the building committee and all its members.  They have indeed written their names in gold from where we are copying their deeds into our good books.

I’ve always believed leaders don’t ask others to do what they’re unwilling to do but permit me to use this opportunity to appeal to my fellow Christians: Donate for the CAN Secretariat building projects, don’t be left out of the blessings this opportunity is presenting us. it is our own project, let’s rise and build with them. God bless you.
