Be good Ambassadors of Nasarawa State-Deputy Governor Cautions Christian Pilgrims

The Deputy Governor of Nasarawa state, Silas Ali Agara has cautioned Christian pilgrims to 2017 pilgrimage to the holyland to be good ambassadors of the of the state and the nation.

He asserted that pilgrimage is not about embarking on spiritual voyage alone but to renewed humans faith, the Deputy Governor gave the disclosure while addressing 2017 Christian pilgrims.

Appealing to pilgrims to shun drug trafficking and other social vices that are inimical to the image of Nasarawa state and Nigeria.

Silas Ali Agara expressed displeasure over the abscondment of two pilgrims during the 2015 pilgrimage that he said disappeared into thin air.

The executive Secretary of the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Clement Odeh Magaji commended the federal and state government for their support.

He attributed the lean number of pilgrims to the withdrawal from the sponsorship of the 2017 pilgrims; he affirmed that 73 are to perform this year’s pilgrim to the holy land.

The executive secretary of the board, Clement Odeh Magaji buttressed that 50 persons were government sponsored while 23 are self-sponsored.
