Be A Mirror To The Society, S.A On Media To Gov Sule Tell Journalists

Members of the fourth estate of the realm in Nasarawa State have been urged to abide by the etiquette of Journalism profession as they join their counterparts across the globe to commemorate the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists, The Special Adviser to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Media and Publicity, Doctor Nawani Aboki gave the hint.

Aboki charged members of the fourth estate of the realm to adhere strictly to media law and ethics in discharging their responsibilities of information dissemination.

He said that Governor Abdullahi Sule’s doors are always open to rub minds with Journalists on issues of development, stating further that Journalists are the mirror of any society and serve as a bridge between the Government and the people.

He explained that Journalists must be allowed to carry out their job without harassment, attacks, and intimidation from any sector of society.

Urging people of the state to see Journalists as agents of peace and national development but not foes.

Adding that the welfare of Journalists is paramount to ensure that an enabling environment is provided for media professionals to carry out their job without intimidation.

He however challenged them to focus on developmental Journalism as impunity against Journalists has ended completely under Governor Sule’s Government in the State.
