Bauchi State is set to conduct the local government council elections in January 2024.
Governor Bala said this yesterday while speaking during a meeting with former Councilors at the Government House Bauchi.
The governor said that the reason for the meeting is to appreciate those of them who had served recently and performed well while serving leading to the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 General elections.
He said that he invited them for the meeting having dissolved them recently and considering the various positive roles they played in the provision of dividends of democracy to the people of the grassroots.
Adding that very soon, all their entitlements will be paid after computation by the relevant agencies telling them to gear up for the next Council elections in the next Six months.
Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir expressed his appreciation for the roles they played as his Representatives at the grassroots while serving and assured them that some of them will get political appointments very soon while others may be lucky to be reelected during the elections.
Speaking on behalf of the former Councilors, Honorable Musa Ibrahim Zango commended the Governor for finding them worthy to be invited for a meeting at the Government House.
Zango shows their appreciation to the governor, adding that they will continue to support his administration for the development of the good people of Bauchi State.
