Bauchi State SDG’s Donates Beds, Hospital Equipment To Health Centres

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Bauchi State coordination office, today Monday, 8th February 2021 donated beds and other hospital equipment to primary health care centers in Toro local government area of the state.

 

Speaking while flagging off the distribution of the hospital equipment in Tilden Fulani and Pingel both in Toro local government area of the state.

 

The Director-General Bauchi State Sustainable Development Goals [SDGs], Dr. Esther Ahmed emphasis the need for the government of Bauchi State under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor  Bala Mohammed to promote good health and well-being of the people in line with the SDGs Goal-3.

 

She said: “In Bauchi State SDGs, we are trying to build partnership and collaborations with the state government  to fight against the spread of Covid-19 and other related diseases and this is why we are making these donations”

 

The head of planning, research, and statistic representing Director Primary Health Care Toro local government area Alh. Abubakar Galda while speaking thank the state  SDGs for the support, he said the equipment would enhance the delivery of effective health to patients.

 

Also responding on behalf of the community,  Alh. Ahmed Muhammad said the support wouldn’t have come at a better time than now because the facility was lacking some equipment.

 

He however appealed to the government to employ additional staff in the primary health care center.

 

Also while addressing the staff and the good people of Pingel primary health care center, the Director-General said “one of the 17 Goals of the Sustainable Development Goals is”Good Health and well-being”  and that is why SDGs in the state is doing it best to ensure the implementation of its set goals. She urged the community to make judicious use of the equipment.

 

In his vote of thanks, the Hemlet Head of Pingel Alh. Suleiman Adamu thank the SDGs team and appealed to His Excellency Governor Abdulkadir Mohammed to come to their aide by completing the ongoing primary health care center started by the community some years ago but was abandoned due to financial constraints.

 

The Director-General, Dr. Esther Ahmed promised to deliver their message to His Excellency.

 

She described Governor Bala Mohammed as a “man of peace and compassion, who has been described variously as a man of purpose and foresight, a man who have inspired youth and humanity a consummate administrator and a revolutionary politician an advocate for peace and justice and above all a God-fearing person”.

 

Items donated consist of  15 beds, 15 mattresses, 15 pillows, 15 drip hangovers, and 15 cupboards.
