After losing the election, the senator representing Bauchi South senatorial district Honorable Lawal Yahaya Gumau has dumped the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) and joint the ruling People Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, said governor Bala’s performance is above average.
Senator Gumau defects alongside his campaign coordinators and supporters have dumped their party to the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Gumau announced this defection at the Ramat House on Friday in Bauchi, saying governor Bala has played a vital role in the development of Bauchi State.
He directed all his supporters across Bauchi State to massively vote for Governor Bala Mohammed of the People Democratic party and all its party candidates on the 11th of March to come.
According to the senator, Gumau said that the governor has performed above average expectations, hence the need for all and sundry to support him to succeed in his reelection bid for the execution of more developmental projects for the best interest of the state and its people.
Adding that “The most important thing is not about the party, is the personality that attracted us to the party, I returned to PDP because of Kauran Bauchi who is my leader, mentor, and a person who I always follow for me to succeed in politics, I joined the governor now because I want my people to feel the impact of democracy and after a thorough investigation, I realized that Kauran Bauchi is the best and his performance is the main reason for us to come to him.
“My supporters should thank God that we have a reliable leader whom we can trust, Governor Bala Mohammed is the kind of leader that even without asking him, will remember that he has a duty to do things. He is working not necessarily on what people asking him to do, he does what he believes is good for his people and therefore we must vote for His Excellency to enable him to continue doing his good work for our dear Bauchi State.
On his part, Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir shows his appreciation to the Senator representing Bauchi South senatorial district Lawal Yahaya Gumau and all his supporters and campaign coordinators to the ruling People’s Democratic Party in the state and promised to provide them with a level playing field to contribute positively towards the victory of all the candidates of PDP in the forthcoming governorship and state assembly elections in the state.
