Bauchi Police Command Neutralize 6 Kidnappers, Recovered N4.5 million, Other Items

The Bauchi State Police Command in collaboration with quasi-security outfits, (Ahmed Ali Kwara) neutralized 6 Kidnappers and bandits, recovered four million five hundred and eighty thousand naira (4.580,000,00, 2 AK47 rifles fifty-five (55) live ammunitions four empty magazines were recovered from the kidnappers. Command

Others were One Golf three 3 blue, 7 new Airtel sim cards, 3 Tecno keypad phones, 2 Itel keypad phones, and One Bontel keypad phone.

While others include: 7 Tecno Android phones, 4 Infinix Android phones, 4 Tecno keypad phones, 24 pieces of mobile battery, and 190 pieces of recharge cards for both MTN and Airtel networks.

The spokesman of the state police command, SP Ahmed Wakil disclosed this to Newsmen through a press release on Wednesday in Bauchi, said that “on 26th December 2023, at about 0403hrs and neutralized six (6) of the kidnappers”

“As you will all agree with me at this very moment, our security system is facing a significant challenge, consequently, all hands must be on deck to ensure a free and peaceful environment in our society”

He said that the investigation revealed that the bandits within two weeks invaded three villages around Ningi, including Bukutumbe, Iyayi, Kayadda, and Gamji village, where they shot four (4) people and killed one member of Vigilante at Bukutumbe, and proceeded to Kiyawa LGA, Jigawa State where they kidnapped two wives of the Chairman Kiyawa local government area of Jigawa State.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Muhammad said that the command is ready to deploy both human and material assets available at its disposal to confront crime and criminality in Bauchi State.
