Bauchi Police Arrest Two Suspects For Stealing Jonathan Billboards

The Bauchi State Police Command said it has arrested two suspected political thugs directly in connection to stealing of Jonathan campaign billboards

The Bauchi police Command spokesman DSP Mohammed Haruna disclose this while briefing newsmen said the suspects were trailed and subsequently arrested through the Yelwa Police Division for stealing the billboard.

The suspects are Salisu Abdullahi 35 years and Sani Danyaya 25 years both of Yelwa residents respectively and described the development as responsible for heating the polity.

Haruna lamented that the suspects conspired with one other which is now at large  to removed Jonathan campaign billboard

The police added that the campaign billboard were mounted along Yelwa road saying the command is doing everything  to arrest thugs stealing and destroying posters belonging to political parties

The command further said exhibit were recovered and investigation is in progress after which the suspects will be charged to court for appropriate prosecution.

It could be recalled that since campaign intensify especially in the North  PDP had passed through turbulent period to place  Jonathan billboard on the streets compared to Buhari of the APC presidential candidate

This development is more prevalent in Bauchi state except in Dass, Tafawa-balewa and Bogoro LGA’s of the state where partisan politics is the order of the day

The suspects admitted stealing Jonathan billboards to tender before politicians supporting Jonathan in turn to enjoy paltry amount for up-keep
