Bauchi Police Arrest Forty Suspects Who Stoned President Jonathan

The Bauchi state police command says it has arrested about forty suspected hoodlums that stoned president Jonathan during Thursdays presidential rally

DSP Mohammed Haruna the command spokesman said in a press release said their arrest was directed connected to the attack on convoy of the president

“The  Suspects arrested are now  assisting  the Police with useful information that led to further arrest of Thirty one others bringing the total number of suspects so far arrested to Forty” said Haruna

Haruna lamented the act of the miscreants who  went on rampage in some parts of Bauchi Town inciting disturbance of public peace where Nine suspects were earlier  arrested by combined security Forces who rushed to the scene and restored normalcy in the area.

It’s unfortunate that during the carnage the DPO Township Division CSP Danlami Garba sustained serious injuries while trying to disperse crowd and is presently on admission at the Hospital.

Meanwhile, normalcy had since been restored and people are going about their lawful businesses in the Town.
