Bauchi Police Arrest 3 Armed Bandits, 2 419 Syndicates

The Bauchi state Police command said it has  arrested three armed robbery suspects in Toro Local Government Area of the state.

According to the Police spokesperson of the state command, DSP Haruna Mohammed, a Peugeot 607 and BMW car were recovered from the suspects.

He said “on the 24/06/2015 at about 22:00hrs,gunmen numbering about ten stormed the resident of one Mohammed Dan Azumi Abdulrahaman (Ubandoma) male and 40 years of Magama Gumau in Toro LGA of Bauchi State.

“Suspects disarmed two private Security guards in the house and robbed the complainant of his Peugeot 607 Motor vehicle and other valuable items.

However, Discreet investigation led to the arrest of three suspects and recovery the stolen Peugeot 607 including the BMW Car used in committing the crime.

He gave the names of the suspects as Saleh Ahmed Bichi alias Saleh Toro, Musa Ali Jaguar male and 25 years of Magama town, Abdulazeez Gambo male and 55 years of Magama town.

In a related development, DSP Haruna Mohammed said the command also arrested two 419 is dictate who specializes in printing fake currencies.

He said “On the 12/7/2015 at about 17:30 hours, while acting on intelligence report, the command smashed a 419 Syndicate who specialised in cheating their victims under false pretense and printing fake currencies, both Local and Foreign.

Exhibits recovered from the suspects according to Mohammed include them include,,138 pieces of 100 American Dollar notes suspected to be counterfeit, 106 pieces of 1000 Naira notes suspected to be counterfeit. One Saudi Riyadh currency suspected to be counterfeit, One 500 Naira note suspected to be counterfeit, Substance suspected to  be Mercury, and bottle containing charms and other incriminating items.

He said all cases are under investigation after which suspects will be charged to court for prosecution.
