The Paramount Ruler of Zaar Chiefdom, His Royal Majesty, Brigadier General Marcus Kokko Yake (Rtd.), has warned youths against the wrong use of social media. He said peace is very important for the growth and development of any community.

The monarch gave this warning when he received a delegation from Lusa District in Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

He said his leadership would be based on justice, fairness, and equality, without discrimination based on tribe, religion, or ethnicity.

He advised youths to stop using social media to spread false information or cause problems in the chiefdom.

His Royal Majesty gave an example involving Mr. Aaron John, who made a video on social media claiming that the monarch planned to change the Zaar colour. The monarch described the claim as completely false and warned him to stop spreading such lies. He advised that anyone sharing information on social media should always confirm the truth before posting. He also called on the general public to disregard the false claim.

The monarch further warned people not to take the law into their own hands and to avoid actions that could disturb peace in the chiefdom.

He also called on the general public within the chiefdom to embrace dry-season farming, saying that farming can improve livelihoods and help increase the economy of Bauchi State instead of remaining idle.

His Majesty further urged the youths to fight poverty by engaging in farming and other entrepreneurial businesses to earn a living, rather than waiting endlessly for white-collar jobs.

He called on all sons and daughters of Zaar Chiefdom to unite and fight poverty and social problems affecting the area.

He also called on well-meaning sons and daughters of Zaar Chiefdom, both at home and in the diaspora, to come and invest in the area, assuring them that peace and normalcy have fully returned to the chiefdom.

He assured all ethnic groups in the chiefdom that his palace is open to everyone and that all people are free to contribute ideas for the development of the chiefdom.

He urged the people to continue praying for peace in Bauchi State, Nigeria, and the world.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the District Head of Lusa, Mr. Dauda J. Zabas, thanked the monarch for the successful coronation of the Lusa District Head. He assured the monarch of their support and loyalty.

He added that since the creation of Zaar Chiefdom, there has been peace in Lusa District and across the chiefdom. He promised that the people of Lusa would remain law-abiding and support all development programs.

Other leaders from Lusa District also thanked the monarch and prayed for peace, growth, and development of the chiefdom.
