Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has ordered police to ensure a full investigation of the crisis and imposed 24 hours curfew on the whole Yelwa Community areas of the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi state command, Umar Mamman Sanda stated this on Saturday when he visited the area in an on-the-spot assessment.
While addressing some of the members of the community affected by the crisis, CP Sanda urged them to remain law-abiding and not resort to taking laws into their hands.
The CP who warned that the police would not tolerate troublemakers assured that the police will get into the root cause of the upheaval with a view to bringing the culprits to book.
He said that the police will be all out to ensure full compliance with the curfew.
