Bauchi Governor ‘Bribes’ PDP Chairman with N2 Billion House for Senatorial Ambition By Fejro Oliver

If information reaching us from Bauchi State is anything to go by, then the state may be in serious financial crisis after the tenure of the governor, Isa Yuguda. This is as a result of a reckless loan he has secured from three banks in Nigeria totaling N15 billion which is meant to be used for the ‘building’ of houses for former governor Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu who is now the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman as well as his deputy.

The loan was allegedly approved by the State House of Assembly after an unknown amount of money was agreed to be given to them as kickbacks in the Speakers residence. Ironically, the sum of N5 billion given to Mu’azu and his deputy was not used to build the house but given to them in cash. This fraudulent money is taken in the midst of unpaid salaries of workers for the past two months

Sources within the state who confided in us revealed that the money was given to the PDP Chairman to enable him facilitate Yuguda who is secretly nursing Senatorial ambition into the red chambers. Part of the money we gathered will also be used to get a new house for the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Aminu Hamayyo in Abuja, while he is meant to live in Bauchi.

The remaining money is expected to disappear into the private pockets of the governor, alleged the source.
