Four farmers have been killed and eight others kidnapped in Nahuta village in the Batsari local government area of Katsina State.
The incident happened on Saturday while the farmers were harvesting their crops.
The state police command’s spokesman, Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, confirmed the attack yesterday and explained that one of the farmers narrowly escaped from the bandits with gunshot wounds.
He said, “The suspected bandits opened fire on the farmers, thereby killing four and injuring one person; they also abducted eight others.”
