The transition ceremony which was held that at the Mamudu Ribadu Square with thousands of APC supporters and the people of the state in attendance were when they didn’t see the former Governor (Ngilari) handing over power to the new executive Governor only to see the Deputy Governor performed the constitutional right.
The absence of Ngilari marred and scuttled the smooth handover ceremony as all logistics arrangements were poorly planned by the Bala’s transition committee believing to have a court ruling to be passed in their favor on the 28th may but only to be disappointed with the outcome of the court verdict.
His deputy later handed over the mantle of leadership to Mr Umaru Jibrilla.
Our reporter gathered that the former governor went into hiding because of his inability to pay salaries and as he indebted the state to the tune of Billion as he ran for fear being arrested.
