The newly elected member Federal House of Representative, representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency of Plateau State Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos has urged Independent National Electoral Commission INEC not to delay the announcement of Governorship and state House of Assembly election results.
Bagos disclosed this in Jos on Thursday, Bagos while briefing journalists.
He employed INEC to avoid unnecessary drama of tactically delaying to announce all the senatorial districts results of Guber but to declare the winner immediately.
He also alleged that APC government is trying to portray Plateau State as a crisis state to allow them use security for proper rigging.
Bagos raised alarm that few days to the Governorship and house of Assembly Elections results sheets for the Governorship position is already in circulating in the state.
He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the Security Agencies to as a matter of urgency investigate the matter and ensure that only true and authentic materials supplied for the Saturday Elections are issue to eligible voters.
The Lawmaker warns that Plateau citizens would not accept any outcome of the elections that is not the voice of the people.
According to him, it is very obvious that the Government in power is desperately nursing evils intention to forcefully upturn the outcomes of the elections in APC favour .
“We are worried that the APC is trying to portray that there are impending threats of crises any anarchy in the state during the Elections. We received credible information that the state government has asked for a deployment of more security to plateau State.
“We want the federal government to disregard such request because plateau is peaceful, and when you hear the heartbeat of a plateau Man you know that they want to vote for PDP. That’s why the governor is trying to portray that the state is under threat.
“We asked. When people were been killed in a large numbers on daily basis why was adequate security not deployed to to the state to protect lives and property?
“It is all over on Social media that, Lalong has sneaked in result sheets of Governorship elections, and we don’t want to take such issues lightly.
“We want to warn the state government not to try what it did during the local government election, where results were being collated in various local government and they went ahead to announced winners”.
He said the INEC result sheets already flying on social Media as he observed, cast him no doubts to disbelieve they are not authentic property of INEC, and warns that the people will not accept thing Shot of people’s voice.
He said what happened during the presidential and national assembly elections where their results were held for days before they were later released create alot of suspicion on the Crediblility of the INEC to conducting free and fair elections.
He called on citizens to be wary of the antics of desperate politicians to rig elections, hence should ensure they come out to vote for candidates of their choice and make sure votes are counted, guided and protected.
