Badung Led PDP Faction Expresses Shock With Pwajok Defection To APC

The leadership of Peoples Democratic Party in plateau state have expressed shock over the decision of the member representing Jos south/Jos east federal constituency, Hon Edward Pwajok (SAN)to announce his defection from PDP to APC at the flour of the national assembly.

In a press statement made available to universalreporeters247.com on Wednesday condemned the action as uncalled for, the PRO Hon Emmanuel Macham gave this comments.

The party regrets such action in totality especially with the current reconciliation effort champion by the SWC headed by Hon Gyang Badung Pam, in line with NWC lead by Sen Ali Modu Sheriff. The strategic location of the constituency which is key and a stronghold control by our party the PDP can’t be condoned, the voting capacity of the said constituency calls for urgent action and the party view such action as unfortunate.

While calling for calm, we wish to clearly affirmed after an urgent SWC meeting, the party have resolve to seek legal means in retrieving our mandate which is enshrine in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, the state legal adviser and the party lawyers have concluded all necessary arrangement to challenge this action in court any moment from now, and the issue have been reported to the National headquarters of our party.

Party faithful are advice to remain prayerful as we look forward to returning back to those glorious days, as better programmes have been outline to ensure we bounce back stronger than ever before. The future of this country is surely bright with PDP.

It also gathered that the Makarfi group early Wednesday morning mobilized some group of miscreants to protest at the PDP Secretariat after receiving a letter of notification from security agents.

The group under the aegis of Greater together storm the party with their solidarity songs to register their resilience to the Jang led PDP faction which is drumming support to Sen Ahmed Makarfi led faction.

Meanwhile, the Plateau State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, led Damishi Sango has received members of the Coalition of PDP Patriots across the state on a solidarity visit at the party’s secretariat in Jos.

The party says it is confident that the Patriots are committed members who have the interest of the party at heart and are already working for the victory of the party in the coming local government election.

The state Chairman, Hon  Damishi T Sango, while receiving the party members in his office, also said PDP will continue to remain committed and united in its preparation to provide good and purposeful alternative leadership for the well-being of the people of Plateau State.

He criticized the conspiracy and vaulting ambition of some individuals who are desperate on causing confusion and disaffection amongst the teeming and patient PDP members in the state.

In his words, “Such self-centred people have no regard for the wellbeing of the people but are just out to quench the aspirations and destroy the future of Plateau”.

The Chairman therefore appealed to all PDP  members across Plateau State to remain resolute, united and absolutely loyal to the party and show commitment in following all principles and ideals of the party in order to raise the party higher.

He cautions, “The goat that ventures into the lions’ den will not live to tell the story of what transpired”.

The Coalition of PDP Patriots is a voluntary group of party members with membership from all the Local Government Areas of Plateau State under the leadership of the immediate past Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly,  Rt Hon Titus Alams.

He said the visit to the party secretariat was to show solidarity with the leadership of the PDP under the duly elected Sango-led EXCO.
